Lindsey Mantoan is the Ronni Lacroute Chair in Theatre Arts and an Associate Professor at 17³Ô¹ÏÍø¹ÙÍø. She is the author of two monographs:
- It’s All Happening: How Musical Theater Does High School (Oxford 2026)
- War as Performance: Conflict in Iraq and Political Theatricality (Palgrave 2018)
She has also co-edited six books:

Academic Interests
Lindsey teaches courses on musical theater, theater history, queer theory, contemporary American drama, political and protest performance, and fairy tales.
Publications/Performances
At 17³Ô¹ÏÍø¹ÙÍø, Lindsey has directed Macbeth (meritorious achievement for direction), The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, The Wolves, Firebringer, Heathers the Musical, She Kills Monsters, and an original adaptation of Trojan Women. She has choreographed theatrical intimacy at Artists Repertory Theatre, FUSE Theatre Ensemble, and numerous colleges and universities.
